“I've only got two minutes - please get straight to the point!”
Okay, here is a brief summary of this website.
“Why should I consider satellite?”
Recent Satellite news
New Sky Christian TV channel numbers from Monday July 21. Radio channels stay the same.
NO Christian TV or Radio on FREESAT the new free satellite service from the BBC & ITV.
Because:-
- Satellite has by far the most Christian TV and Radio in the UK.
- Christian TV and Radio is such a blessing!
- You pay once for the system - there's no rental!
- On Sky there are 25 Christian channels - 15 TV and 10 Radio.
- You only get 3 Christian channels on Cable, only 1 on Freeview, and one or two on DAB - if you live in the right place!
- Satellite will probably always provide the greatest number of Christian channels.
- It's well worth getting a Sky box just for Christian Radio (YES, even if you don't have a TV).
“So, how do I get satellite?”
We recommend that you choose one of the following 3 ways....
(There are other ways, explained in the rest of the site)
A ‘Freesat from Sky’ system
It costs £150 and there's no rental or contract. You'll get all 250 free Sky channels including all the Christian, BBC and ITV channels. It includes a viewing card for Ch4 & Ch5, There is no requirement to have a phone line connected! Details on the Sky Systems page.

Micro hi-fi in the kitchen
plays satellite radio
A non-Sky system from Christian TV or Christian-Sat Satellite Systems
These Christian companies will supply and fit a system with no rental or contract. The receiver is pre-tuned to all the Christian channels along with a selection of News and other ‘wholesome’ channels. Details on the Non-Sky Systems page.
A DIY system
Buy your own Sky digibox either new, refurbished or second-hand or a non-Sky box and get a dish fitted by a local Satellite installer or fit it yourself. Details on the DIY Systems page.
You only want Christian Radio?
No TV? It's still a great idea to get a Sky digibox just for satellite radio. You use the receiver exactly like a hi-fi tuner. Simply connect it to an audio system using a stereo phono lead. And it's easy to connect it to more audio systems in different rooms around your home. Then listen on any audio system you choose leaving the others turned off if you wish. Details on the Satellite Radio page.
